Tuesdays With Morrie
By: Mitch Albom

Journal Response 1:

During this time of my life I am thankful for many things. Many people in the world don’t have much. I mean some don’t even have homes. So at least I should be thankful for that. But I am very thankful for the house I live in and the family I have that takes care of me every day. Many kids around the world don’t have families, food, and homes. I mean I have a roof over my head I get fed every night. I have it good. I am thankful that I have parents that care and are always there for me. I am also thankful that my parents want the best for me so they work there hardest to get my family what we need. Even when we are down my family tries to make the best of it. No matter how bad things are going for us we always get through it. I am thankful for the parents I have. I am also thankful for my step dad and his family he has always been there for me and they treat me like I am there blood family. I have many people that are in my family and they all treat me great so I am thankful for all of it. I might complain at times that I don’t have it good but that is being a teenager but I really do have it good. My family might not have all the money but that does not affect us we can have a good time even if we don’t have all the money. I am so grateful that my parents are the way they are because I think if they were not the way there I would not be where I am today.

Journal Response 2:
What is my three favorite parts of Tuesdays with Morrie? One of my favorite parts of Tuesdays with Morrie is when Mitch sees that Morrie is dying and he drops everything and goes and sees Morrie and then Morrie was so excited to see Mitch. Mitch didn’t realize how much he really meant to Morrie. My second part is when Mitch helps with Morrie. I think it really made Morrie happy that Mitch wanted to help. Mitch thought Morrie deserved his help since he had not seen him for sixteen years. My third part that I liked was when Mitch took over the nurse’s job and helped out. He brought lots of things to Morrie and then Morrie got to sick and could not eat it. So then he just came every Tuesday and just brought him. But I think the whole book is good and that it teaches lessons and really good lessons. I think if people read this book they would really understand everything and what some people go through.

Journal Response 3:
Where will I be in ten years? Hopefully I will be done with college and have a great job. I want to work as a paralegal or a lawyer. I want to go to a good college in the future. I also want to have a family in the future. And live in a big city. I love the city area. I want to move to New York as I get older. I want to work in the big buildings in the city. I also want to help others and give back to our area. I want to help people that don’t have much. I think many people take things for grantee and don’t realize how good they really have. So I want to help ones that don’t have things. I also want to go to many different places around the world and visit as much as I can. I really want to go to Italy and learn to speak Italian. The most important thing to me is when I get older all I want is to be happy and do what I want with my life. My main goal that I want to accomplish is to live a happy and free life. As I get older I want a family but not a big family. I want a small but happy family. So that is where I see myself in ten years.

Journal response 4:
I think that English 10 should still read Tuesday with Morrie it’s an inspiration. Many kids will follow what Morrie has to say. I think if people read the book and they were dying maybe it would be inspiration and help them get through the hard times. Morrie makes a very good point to live your life to the fullest. You never know if you’re going to be here the next day or the next. I also think Morrie teaches you life is not all about the money. He teaches Mitch that his job is not all his life and Mitch loses things but he learns from his mistakes. I think that Morrie can really touch people’s hearts and help them through everything. He inspired me to love and live my life to the fullest and don’t take things to grantee.

Journal response 5:

If there was one thing you wished you had done in your life what would you have done?
I think that this would be a good question because maybe it would inspire people to do everything you want.
What is the most important thing in your life?
I think my family is the most important and my friends. There the people that love me and I love when there with me.
What’s on your heart now?
I would want to no how he feels and what he is really thinking.
What’s one thing you would want everyone to know?
I would want to know something that he wants everyone to. So he can maybe help someone else.
Do you regret anything?
I want to see if there is anything that he would have done differently.
